Ohto Pieni and Needlepoint Slimline Refill No.895NP Black 0.5mm

  • $2.50

MADE IN JAPAN
OHTO's oil-based ballpoint pens use low-viscosity soft ink for ink and
cutting-type needle tip for the tip, and the combination is
a great match.

There are two main types of pen nibs: the bullet type and the needle type, which is thin like a needle. The needle tip has a thin, protruding tip, which is sharper than the bullet tip*1 and allows for clear writing of fine characters and photocopiable slips, as well as stable straight lines when drawing straight lines with rulers and other tools.

Conventional needlepoint nibs are made from two different parts, as shown in the figure on the right, so strong writing pressure puts a strain on the connecting part, causing the nib to bend.
Needlepoint nibs, on the other hand, are made from a single piece of material, and are one-piece in construction, making it difficult for the nib to break even under strong writing pressure.
